An early solo performance practice invoking and dissecting the form of standup comedy. Usually performed in a nightlife context, the short pieces are delivered in the voice of an enthusiastic, sometimes profane alter-ego character who would speak, sing, tell jokes, and court audience participation.

The original “Garbage Bromberg” performance was presented in fall 2012 at a nightlife event curated by Chris Tyler at Culturefix in New York, NY. The form was subsequently presented at two TAB Art showcases in Brooklyn, NY, and morphed into various forms at Chris Tyler’s Total Rejects Live events in Brooklyn in 2013. The practice culminated in a variety performance at the Public Theatre in New York entitled “Crawling in the Dark”, presented as part of the Total Rejects Live event at Under the Radar Festival 2014.
